New Delhi — A video reportedly recorded before a virtual hearing of the Delhi High Court has gone viral on social media, showing a lawyer engaging in inappropriate conduct with a woman.

The incident is said to have occurred on Tuesday, before the court session began, while participants were waiting for the judge to join. The footage shows the lawyer, dressed in formal court attire, pulling a woman towards him and attempting to kiss her. The woman appears hesitant and tries to resist.

The video has garnered hundreds of thousands of views within hours of being posted. The identities of the lawyer and the woman have not yet been confirmed. The Free Press Journal has not verified the authenticity of the footage.

Supreme Court lawyer Shashank Shekhar Jha shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption “Delhi High Court.” Another advocate, Kumar Deepraj, clarified that the man in the video is a lawyer, not a judge, and that the scene was recorded before the courtroom of Justice Jyoti Singh went live.

Earlier this year, a similar incident from Gujarat High Court’s virtual proceedings—showing a man attending a hearing from a toilet—had gone viral. The court had fined him ₹1 lakh and ordered 15 days of community service.
