Kathmandu- Police have confirmed that the murder of 68-year-old Pavitra KC in Chandragiri Municipality-6 was linked to a land boundary dispute.

Initially, her son, 32-year-old Saroj Thapa, was arrested. During further investigation, his mother, Ganga Thapa, was also taken into custody. DSP Eliza Giri of Thanikot Police Station stated that the killing was over a land boundary conflict.

The victim was struck on the head with a dao (traditional cleaver). Her body has been sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for a postmortem.
