Kathmandu — A 25-year-old man died following a motorcycle accident at Kapan’s Paiyutar area near the water factory early this morning.

According to Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the motorcycle (Ba 81 Pa 735) struck an electric pole while heading from Paiyutar toward Gokarneshwar late Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Pasang Mingma Sherpa, a native of Solukhumbu who was residing in Kapan, Kathmandu. Sherpa sustained critical injuries in the crash and was rushed to Kathmandu Medical College for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries early this morning.
