Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population Sushila Karki formed a committee led by Additional Secretary Prof. Dr. Shreekrishna Shrestha, whose first meeting made the decision.

Each provincial task force will be coordinated by the Nepal Nursing Association and include representatives from the respective provincial ministries, district administration offices, and protesting nurses. The task forces will conduct field assessments and submit reports with recommendations.

The Prime Minister has directed the committee to prepare and submit a short- and long-term action plan within seven days. The committee will continue its work virtually during the Tihar and Chhath holidays, with its next meeting scheduled for Kartik 9. The report, along with recommendations, will be submitted to the Council of Ministers.
