The campaign led by Durga Prasai has withdrawn the nationwide shutdown and indefinite strike planned for tomorrow.

The decision came after talks with the government at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Saturday evening.

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, PM’s Chief Advisor Ajay Bhadra Khanal, and Advisor Govinda Narayan Timilsina represented the government, while Prasai’s team was led by campaign secretary Premdeep Limbu, along with advocates Binodmani Bhattarai, Laban Nyaupane, and Dr. Nirajan Prasai.

The Prime Minister’s Office stated that the talks included a detailed discussion on the 27-point demands, and both sides agreed to hold the next round of negotiations soon, with the campaign leadership present. The government is also committed to continuing dialogue, considering the current security situation.

Durga Prasai remains in police custody at the Kathmandu District Police Office.
