Kathmandu – The government has decided to dissolve the Land Dispute Resolution Commission and all district committees. According to government spokesperson Jagadish Kharel, the Cabinet meeting held on Thursday approved the dissolution of the commission, which was formed under the Land Dispute Resolution Commission Formation Order 2081, along with all district committees.
The Cabinet also declared Ilam district a disaster-affected district for three months and approved the promotion of four DIGs.

Additionally, the government decided to forward the report of the Tribhuvan University Land Investigation Committee to the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology for implementation. The committee had submitted its report to then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on 2 Poush, but it had not been made public, necessitating further investigation.
According to the report, over 1,000 ropanis of land in Kathmandu under Tribhuvan University have been misappropriated, and further investigation is required outside the Kathmandu Valley as well.
