Army spokesperson Rajaram Basnet said the details have been sent and coordination is ongoing. However, sources from the commission say they have not yet received the full requested information.

During the unrest, the army reportedly used minimum force to control mobs and protect key structures, including Singha Durbar, using only aerial fire and physical barriers. The army emphasized that human safety was prioritized in their operations.

There is a clear clash between the commission and the army over officer information and reporting. According to the army, disciplinary responsibility lies within the military under the Army Act, not the commission.

The inquiry commission’s methods and statements have drawn scrutiny and suspicion from security experts, political parties, and the public.
