Kathmandu – Sudan Gurung, leader of the Gen-Z movement and founder of Hami Nepal, told Al Jazeera he is ready to contest for prime minister in the next elections if chosen by the people.

Wearing a bloodstained vest from slain protesters, Gurung said it symbolizes the demand for justice. He urged investigations into crimes committed by former party leaders to disqualify them from elections.

“We won’t step back, we’ll fight to the end. If people choose me, I’ll take the responsibility as PM,” he said.

On foreign policy, he stressed cooperation with neighbors based on respect but warned against interference. He rejected alliances with monarchists but called for unity of all Nepalis under one flag.
