Kathmandu-The incident occurred in Madhumara, Ward 9 of Biratnagar Metropolitan City, where 25-year-old Shravan Sah threw acid on his 22-year-old sister-in-law, Raginidevi Sah. She sustained severe injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
According to family members, Shravan had demanded 3,000 rupees from Ragini. She gave him 2,000 rupees but said she could not provide the remaining 1,000 immediately, which led to the dispute. In anger, Shravan attacked her with acid.

After the attack, Shravan fled the scene. Relatives said he even threatened to kill his elder brother, Santosh Sah, the victim’s husband.
Ragini is being treated at Neuro Hospital in Kathmandu, where doctors said her condition is gradually improving.
Morang District Police confirmed that the search for the absconding Shravan Sah is ongoing. As of Tuesday afternoon, he had not been arrested, according to DSP Kopila Chudal, spokesperson of Morang Police.
