Kathmandu—An escaped prisoner from Nakkhu Jail, Akash Magar, has killed 25-year-old Suraj Tamang in Thamel. Originally from Makwanpur, Tamang lived in Manamaiju. He was attacked with a knife and later declared dead at Bir Hospital.

Police suggest the killing may have been motivated by an old grudge. Magar, who was jailed for robbery and theft, escaped during the Gen-Z movement on 24 Bhadra. He remains at large. CCTV footage and ongoing investigations confirm his involvement in the murder.
