Kathmandu — Ahead of the House of Representatives election on Fagun 21, a total of 80 political parties have registered with the Election Commission.

Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that as of Tuesday evening, 80 parties had completed their registration.
Out of 134 registered parties in total, 80 have formally registered for the election. Bhattarai added that 16 parties registered just on Tuesday, and the number is expected to rise before the Wednesday deadline.
