Kathmandu—Medical professional Durga Prasai has been released from custody following a Supreme Court order.
The court issued the release order on Sunday after hearing a habeas corpus petition filed by his son, Nirajan Prasai.
A bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Shrikant Paudel instructed authorities to immediately release Prasai from detention.
