Kathmandu – Leaders of the student organization ANNFSU, affiliated with the CPN-UML, have filed a complaint against Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah and “Hami Nepal” founder Sudhan Gurung at the Kathmandu Police Range.

According to former ANNFSU president Samik Badal, police have received the complaint and stated that a decision on whether to officially register it will be made within 24 hours after consulting with the government attorney.

Badal said, “We stand for the rule of law and legal governance, which is why we have chosen the lawful path.” He added that their next step will depend on the police’s decision following consultation with the government attorney.

The ANNFSU has accused Balen and Gurung of involvement in incidents of arson and vandalism targeting Singha Durbar and other government structures, as well as attacks on police personnel.

Earlier, Sudhan Gurung and his team had also filed a separate complaint against former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. That complaint has been forwarded to the government-formed Gen-Z Protest Investigation Commission for further study.
