Kathmandu: An Indian citizen was arrested at Tribhuvan International Airport with 835 grams of gold. The airport customs team apprehended 48-year-old Ronak Madani on Tuesday.

Madani had arrived from Mumbai on an IndiGo flight. Suspicious at the arrival customs, authorities conducted a video X-ray at Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal, and discovered the gold hidden in three rectal pouches.

He has been handed over to Tribhuvan Airport Customs, Gaucharan, for further investigation and legal action.
