Kathmandu – The Cabinet meeting is currently underway at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

Before the meeting, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal held discussions with the heads of various security agencies. The government is facing increasing public and political pressure over recent developments.

Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah has been pressing the government to arrest former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, accusing them of ordering the use of live ammunition during the Gen Z movement protests.

However, no official information has been released about the agenda of today’s Cabinet meeting.
