Kathmandu—The government has announced 14 key decisions from Monday’s Cabinet meeting. Government spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, briefed the media on the major resolutions.
According to him, the Cabinet scrapped the 2014 guidelines for operating the Bhairahawa Special Economic Zone and fixed the new rental rate at Rs 5 per square meter per month. The government also approved granting the Electricity Regulatory Commission membership in the South Asia Infrastructure Regulation to strengthen international coordination in the energy sector.
Additionally, the Cabinet approved restructuring within the Nepal Police, including position alignment and office adjustments, and decided to form an Organization and Management Survey Committee to begin work immediately.
