Kathmandu—The government has decided to withdraw all security personnel provided beyond official standards to former prime ministers, including KP Sharma Oli, Sher Bahadur Deuba, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhala Nath Khanal, and Baburam Bhattarai.

According to the Home Ministry, security forces have been instructed to recall all personnel assigned without approval or beyond prescribed limits. The directive also applies to current officeholders.

A senior police official said that all non-standard security arrangements will be withdrawn by Friday morning as per the ministry’s circular.
