Kathmandu—Police have arrested five individuals involved in arson and vandalism at the Supreme Court during the Gen Z protest. The arrested include Raju Pariyar, Kumar Parajuli, Sushil Shrestha, and Jyoti Thapa Ghatani. The identity of one person remains unknown.
According to District Police spokesperson Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, other suspects involved in the arson have been identified and will soon face legal action. During the protests, 104 complaints related to arson, vandalism, and other criminal activities were filed at the Supreme Court premises.

Police records show 267 arrests, 87 released on bail, 113 in custody, 33 released on surety, and 43 sent to prison for trial. The protests reportedly caused 49 deaths in Kathmandu alone, with seven victims still unidentified.
Seven skeletons were found near Chuchepati’s Bhatbhateni area, but DNA samples could not be retrieved due to severe burning, making identification impossible at this stage.
