The Nepal Health Professional Council has formed a five-member committee to investigate allegations of mistreatment of a patient at Thapa Polyclinic in Kohalpur, Banke.
After a video of the incident surfaced, the victim filed a police complaint. Police arrested 63-year-old Ganesh Bahadur Thapa, the polyclinic operator.
Police said Thapa holds only a CMA certificate and lacked the required treatment license. A court has extended his detention by seven days for further investigation.
