Pokhara: According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Pokhara Very Heavy Rainfall received 101 millimeters of rainfall in the past 24 hours. Under the department’s criteria, rainfall between 100 and 200 millimeters in 24 hours is classified as very heavy rainfall. Rain is currently falling across the country, with heavy rainfall reported in some eastern areas. The weather department has warned of a possibility of extremely heavy rainfall Weather Forecast on Friday.
The department classifies 24-hour rainfall as follows:
- Normal: Less than 50 mm
- Heavy: 50–100 mm
- Very Heavy: 100–200 mm
- Extremely Heavy: More than 200 mm
