Kathmandu – After the devastating Central Nepal floods flash floods in Bhote Koshi, India has dispatched its fourth consignment of humanitarian aid to Nepal. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that a flight carrying 11 tons of relief materials landed in Nepal.
This latest assistance includes:
- A tunnel rescue technical team with specialized equipment
- Forensic experts for DNA analysis
- Blankets, sleeping bags, tarpaulins, plastic sheets, and sanitation kits for affected families
In addition, 16 trucks carrying equipment for a 230-foot single-lane modular steel bridge have arrived to restore blocked transport routes. India has also pledged to send seven more Bailey bridge units and technical teams soon to aid reconstruction and ease movement in flood-hit areas.
