My sister Julija Jakovicka – 16.10.1978 has gone missing in Nepal during the devastating flood while travelling near the border with China. She was fluent in five languages, deeply religious, and a skilled nurse by profession.
Julija was travelling with the Yantra.lv group in Nepal. The group consisted of about 35 people, mainly Latvian citizens, along with participants from Estonia and Lithuania.
The group stayed at the Yuntian Intercontinental Hotel on 25 August and departed by bus towards the border on 26 August at 9 a.m. China time. The last tracking information shows the group near the border shortly before 10 a.m. on 26 August. Since then, we have not been able to contact Julija.
