Kathmandu – Global search engine giant Google has introduced an ‘Emergency Information Service’ in Nepal to provide citizens with quick updates during floods and other natural disasters. With this service, whenever there is a flood or disaster risk, Google’s homepage will display a link titled “Nepal Flash Flood Emergency Info and Updates.” Through this link, users can access maps of affected areas, flood alerts, and news reports from international media all in one place.
Authorities believe this service will be highly effective in raising awareness and ensuring accurate information flow during emergencies.
