The large lake formed at the confluence of Chochhen Khola and Purepu Tsangpo River in China has burst, according to information received from the Chinese side. Rasuwa’s Chief District Officer Narendra Pariyar confirmed the news, urging people to remain safe.
Authorities recalled that similar lake bursts in the past have claimed thousands of lives, causing widespread devastation in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading.
