Pyuthan — Deputy Mayor of Swargadwari Municipality, Minraj Rana Magar, died in a jeep accident on Saturday afternoon. The Bolero pickup (Lu Pra 01–001 Jh 0008), registered under the municipality, plunged about 300 meters off the road at Bangesalla, Swargadwari–2, while heading towards Dhanwang.
According to the District Police Office, the accident occurred around 4:45 PM. Rana, aged 50, was driving the vehicle himself and was the only passenger. He died at the scene.
Rana was elected from the Rastriya Janamorcha.
