CPN (UML) Secretary Padma Aryal has issued a stern warning, stating that any punitive action taken against Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli driven by political vendetta would trigger severe political turmoil and national conflict. Analyzing the current political landscape, she accused the administration of attempting to weaponize state machinery and judicial institutions to target opposition leaders and suppress dissenting voices. Ms. Aryal made it clear that the UML would not view such actions as mere individual grievances but as a systemic assault on democratic norms and the rule of law. She further argued that if the government prioritizes settling political scores over addressing public concerns, it will inevitably lead the nation toward a dangerous path of instability and direct confrontation. Emphasizing that the role and dignity of the opposition are fundamental to a functioning democracy, she vowed that her party would launch a robust political and legal resistance against any attempt to persecute its leadership through biased administrative measures.
