Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Shankar Pokharel, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), has affirmed that the party will fully respect the results of the people’s mandate. Addressing a virtual meeting with provincial and district chairpersons from the central office in Chyasal, Lalitpur, he said that the public has not yet severed their ties with the UML.
Pokharel also criticized attempts to confuse voters by campaigning against UML using the slogan of “old vs. new faces.” He cautioned that while such tactics may gain short-term popularity, they may fail to deliver meaningful results in the long run.
