The post-mortem report of 16-year-old Inisa BK, who was found dead in Birendranagar, has confirmed that her death was caused by severe hemorrhaging following a brutal sexual assault. A forensic expert team from Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, conducted the examination and concluded that deep internal and external genital injuries led to fatal blood loss.
Details of the Incident Inisa, an 11th-grade student originally from Gurbhakot Municipality, had left her residence at 6:00 AM on March 6 (Falgun 23) for tuition classes. After she went missing, she was discovered unconscious in a community forest in Birendranagar-4. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Provincial Hospital in Kalagaun.
Police Investigation and Arrests Surkhet District Police have arrested four minors, aged between 15 and 17, in connection with the case. According to SP Sudhir Shahi, the family has filed a complaint alleging gang rape. “While the autopsy confirms sexual assault and fatal bleeding, we are awaiting viscera reports and forensic analysis of mobile devices to gather further technical evidence,” Shahi stated.
CIB Involvement and Family Protest Due to the sensitivity of the case, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) is arriving in Surkhet to lead a specialized investigation. Meanwhile, the victim’s father, Indra Bahadur BK—who returned from foreign employment following the tragedy—has refused to claim his daughter’s body until the perpetrators are brought to justice. The body currently remains at the Surkhet Provincial Hospital.
