Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Vikas Gurung, a resident of Pokhara-13, Banjhapat, was arrested on Monday for allegedly misbehaving with Member of Parliament Mahavir Pun. The incident occurred while Pun was selling his autobiography, “Mahavir Pun: Memories, Dreams, and Unstoppable Journey.” Social media posts showing offensive behavior prompted the police to investigate.
Kaski Police said Gurung has a prior record, having been sentenced three times in cases related to illegal drugs.
Mahavir Pun, elected from Myagdi as an independent candidate, has been selling his book across Pokhara in recent days. He stated that the proceeds from the sales will be used to operate the Birgunj Agricultural Tools Factory.
