Balen Responds to Modi’s Message, Expresses Hope for Stronger Nepal–India Cooperation

Senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Balendra Shah, has expressed confidence that Nepal and India will further strengthen their relationship and work together for more meaningful and productive cooperation in the coming days. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared on social media on Monday evening that he had spoken by phone with Balendra Shah and Rastriya Swatantra Party chairperson Rabi Lamichhane, congratulating them on their recent electoral success. He also extended his best wishes for the formation of the new government and reaffirmed India’s commitment to work together with Nepal for mutual progress, development, and the welfare of the people.

Responding to Modi’s post, Balendra Shah thanked the Indian Prime Minister for his message and said he believes the longstanding historical and cultural ties between Nepal and India will grow even stronger through constructive cooperation in the future.

He also congratulated the Government and people of India for winning the World Cup title for the second consecutive time.
