Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Soon after voting in Chitwan, CPN leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) traveled by helicopter to Rukum East, arriving at around 10:40 AM on Thursday. Upon landing, he visited several polling centers to observe the voting process.
At Rukmeni Secondary School in Sisne Rural Municipality–5, he engaged directly with voters and discussed the broader national context. He described the country as passing through a difficult phase and emphasized that public participation would be key in shaping a stable future. According to him, Rukum East has the potential to send a strong political message through this election.
This time, 11 political parties are competing in the district, making the race more dynamic. However, Prachanda’s candidacy has significantly intensified the contest, drawing considerable attention from both supporters and opponents.After casting his vote in Chitwan, he immediately returned to his constituency and shared that he would dedicate the day to interacting with voters and hearing their perspectives.
