Kathmandu – On Wednesday, the day before the elections, gold and silver prices fell significantly. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold dropped by 11,000 Rupees per tola and silver by 227 Rupees per tola. The House of Representatives election is scheduled for Thursday.
On Wednesday, gold was traded at 317,600 Rupees per tola, compared to 328,600 Rupees per tola on Tuesday. Similarly, on Monday, gold was priced at 326,100 Rupees per tola, and on Sunday at 320,650 Rupees per tola.
Due to rising tensions in the Middle East, gold prices had been climbing in recent days, but today they fell. Silver also saw a sharp decline on Wednesday, dropping by 227 Rupees to 5,540 Rupees per tola.
On Tuesday, silver was traded at 8,815 Rupees per tola. On Monday, it was 6,020 Rupees per tola, and on Sunday, 5,985 Rupees per tola. Compared to Sunday’s price, silver rose on Monday but then fell on Tuesday and Wednesday.
