Prakash Kafle/Kathmandu. Qatar has announced that all entry visas, whether expired or about to expire, will be automatically extended for one month, starting February 28 (Saturday). The Ministry of Interior says the extension will happen automatically through their electronic system, so people won’t need to pay any fees or visit offices to apply.
Those who have overstayed their visa before February 28 will need to settle any fines first. Once the fines are paid, they too will benefit from the automatic extension and fee waiver.
Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, the ministry also urged residents to stay indoors whenever possible, go out only for essential needs, avoid windows and open spaces, and follow official instructions.
For updates, people are encouraged to check the ministry’s official social media channels and website.
