The Earth Couldn’t Hold, Earthquake Strikes Amid War Tremors

Kathmandu: A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Iran’s Gerash region. According to preliminary details from the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was recorded at a shallow depth of about 10 kilometers.

The main affected area was Iran’s southern Fars province, where mild tremors were felt, Al Jazeera reported. No details about damage have been released. Scientists note that Iran, especially the Zagros mountain region, experiences frequent seismic activity, and low-scale earthquakes are considered normal. However, some have suggested this tremor might also reflect the turbulence of ongoing conflicts beyond the earth’s surface.
