Kathmandu – On Wednesday, the price of gold in the Nepali market surged sharply, setting a new record. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold increased by NPR 9,500 per tola, reaching NPR 318,800.

On the previous trading day, Tuesday, the price of hallmark gold had been NPR 309,300 per tola. Similarly, the price of silver also rose on Wednesday. On Tuesday, silver was priced at NPR 6,870 per tola, which increased to NPR 7,300 per tola on Wednesday, according to the Association.

As per the Association, on Wednesday the price of gold per 10 grams stood at NPR 273,320, while silver per 10 grams was traded at NPR 6,258.50.
