Kathmandu. Political parties have submitted their closed candidate lists under the proportional representation system for the House of Representatives Election 2082. According to the Election Commission, lists were registered from 64 parties using 58 election symbols for the Falgun 21 polls.

Of the total parties, 54 are contesting with their own symbols, while 10 parties will compete using four shared election symbols. Under Nepal’s Constitution, 110 lawmakers are elected through the proportional system and 165 through the first-past-the-post system.
