Kathmandu. Urban Development Minister Kulman Ghising has said he will decide whether to resign from his post by the time election nominations are filed, hinting at contesting the upcoming polls.
Speaking at a press conference, Ghising, also a patron of the Ujyaalo Nepal Party, said he entered active politics after becoming a minister and would make a timely decision when the election process begins. His remarks come amid criticism that he represents a political party while serving in a non-partisan government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
Ghising emphasized that elections are the government’s main responsibility and called on new political forces to unite, saying meaningful leadership after the polls requires collective effort rather than individual claims of being right.
