UML Leader Ain Mahar Released on Bail, Wife Anuja Arrested in Cyber Crime Case

Kathmandu. CPN-UML leader Ain Mahar has been released after posting bail of Rs 100,000 in a cybercrime case, while his wife Anuja Shrestha has been arrested in connection with the same case.

The case was filed by Rashmila Dhami at the Cyber Bureau, accusing the couple of offenses related to electronic transactions. During the detention hearing at Kathmandu District Court on Monday, the court ordered Mahar’s release on bail, according to information officer Deepak Shrestha.

Meanwhile, a Cyber Bureau team arrested Anuja Shrestha. As her detention hearing could not be completed, she will be produced before the court on Tuesday.
