Kathmandu — The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case at the Special Court against CAAN Director General Pradeep Adhikari and six others over the Nalinchowk helicopter scandal.

The case involves four CAAN officials, one private engineer, a consulting company, and its proprietor, Vijay Thapa. Former CAAN director Murari Bhandari, manager Nalbikram Thapa, deputy manager Sambridhi Shrestha, and engineer Gurudatta Adhikari have all been named as defendants.

DG Adhikari and former director Bhandari have been arrested and presented before the court. According to the Special Court, the corruption case seeks a recovery of more than Rs 135.7 million.
