Kathmandu- Prime Minister Sushila Karki conducted an inspection visit to the Nepal Army Headquarters at Jangi Adda today to assess preparations for the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21. The Army briefed her on the current security status, major challenges, and detailed plans for election-focused deployment and coordination.

PM Karki stated that the post-movement government has a national responsibility to maintain peace and ensure elections are completed on time. She expressed confidence that the Army would effectively fulfill its role in guaranteeing a free, fair, and fear-free election environment.

She issued key directives, including creating a secure environment for citizens, ensuring flawless coordination among security agencies to prevent even a single injury during the polls, and intensifying the search for weapons looted during the GenZ movement and arresting absconding suspects without delay.

The meeting was attended by Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Law Minister Anil Kumar Sinha, Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal, Chief of Army Staff Ashokraj Sigdel, and other senior officials.
