Kathmandu-Sudurpaschim Royals inched closer to the playoffs of the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) T20 after registering their fourth straight victory.

The Royals defeated Lumbini Lions by 7 wickets on Thursday, climbing to 8 points from four matches. Chasing Lumbini’s 144-run target at TU Cricket Ground, they reached 145/3 in 18.2 overs.
Binod Bhandari anchored the chase with an unbeaten 69, hitting 5 fours and 4 sixes. Arif Sheikh scored 39, while Chris Lynn added 17 runs.
For Lumbini, Ruben Trumpelmann, Tilak Bhandari, and Abhishek Gautam claimed one wicket each.
Batting first, Lumbini were bowled out for 143 in 19.4 overs. Captain Rohit Paudel top-scored with 35, followed by Dilip Nath’s 31, and 18 each from Dressie Short and Sumit Maharjan.
From Sudurpaschim’s side, Avinash Bohara and Harmit Singh took 3 wickets apiece. Hemant Dhami claimed 2, while Scott Kuggeleijn grabbed 1.
With this win, Sudurpaschim remain at the top of the table with 8 points, while Lumbini stay at just 2 points from four matches, facing their third defeat.
