Kathmandu — Pradeep Bista, the Kathmandu District Committee Chairman of Rabi Lamichhane-led–led Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has resigned from his position, though he clarified that he has not left the party.
“I haven’t quit the party, I resigned only because I no longer have enough time to work actively,” Bista said.
Before stepping down, he had called a district committee meeting on Sunday. Although members urged him not to resign, he said he made the decision after careful consideration.
Following party procedure, Bista has submitted his resignation to the Bagmati Province Committee.
He was also the RSP candidate from Kathmandu-10 in the 2022 general elections.
