Kathmandu — Gen Z groups have demanded the recall of Prime Minister Sushila Karki’s government, accusing it of failing to deliver on the expectations of the Gen Z uprising.
On Thursday, 23 Gen Z groups submitted a joint memorandum to President Ram Chandra Paudel, urging him to withdraw the current government and mediate the formation of a new one. Many of the groups submitting the memo are reportedly pro-monarchy Gen Z factions.

They argue that the government formed after the GenZ uprising has failed to act against major corruption cases, amend the constitution for a directly elected prime minister, punish those who suppressed the protests, treat the injured, and compensate the families of martyrs.
The memorandum states that instead of addressing the core demands of the uprising, the government has focused only on holding elections and has lost direction. The groups have warned of launching another peaceful movement if their demands are ignored.
