Kathmandu — Nepal’s Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has made it clear that he will not form any political party nor contest in future elections.
Speaking during a meeting of the National Assembly’s Committee on Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns on Thursday, Aryal addressed lawmakers’ questions about his political intentions.
In response to a query from National Assembly member Kiran Babu Shrestha, who asked whether he planned to form a party and contest elections, the Home Minister firmly stated, “I will not form a political party, and I will not contest elections.”
His remarks come amid growing speculation about his possible entry into active politics following his ministerial tenure.
