Tokyo, Japan – A new Japanese study suggests that the length of a man’s nose could be a stronger indicator of penis size than the size of his hands or feet.
Researchers at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine analyzed anatomical data from 124 deceased men, measuring different body parts and comparing them with each man’s stretched penile length—the length of the penis when gently extended in its flaccid state.
Published in the Basic and Clinical Andrology Journal, the findings revealed that men with larger noses had an average penis length of 5.3 inches (13.5 cm), whereas those with smaller noses averaged 4.1 inches (10.4 cm).
The team noted that this difference was not related to height, weight, or age, implying that developmental factors before birth—particularly prenatal hormone exposure—may determine both traits.
Lead researcher Dr. Hiroshi Ikegaya explained, “The correlation between nose size and penis length suggests that exposure to male hormones during fetal development could influence both features.”

Beverly Hills-based urologist Dr. Rena Malik also commented on the study, noting that traditional beliefs linking penis size to hand or foot size lack strong scientific evidence.
