Kathmandu: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court against the formation of the Madhes provincial government. The petition was lodged today by Rakki Prasad Sah and Sujit Yadav under Article 168 (3) of the Constitution.

The petitioners have named the Office of the Madhes Province Chief, the Office of the Chief Minister, and the Madhes Provincial Assembly as the defendants in the case.

The Supreme Court has scheduled the hearing for Kartik 25.
