A single bench of Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla issued the order, stating that employees whose contracts are valid until the end of Poush should not be dismissed from their positions.
Earlier, the government had revoked the provision allowing personal secretaries to be appointed on a contract basis in public bodies. Based on that decision, the secretary of the Inclusion Commission had removed several contractual employees.
Following a writ petition filed against the decision, Justice Malla’s bench issued the interim order after conducting a preliminary hearing.
