Jhapa-Police have arrested two individuals accused of involvement in vandalism and arson at the Area Police Office, Anarmani, during the Gen Z protest.

The arrested have been identified as 22-year-old Padam Rai and his wife, 24-year-old Pooja Magar, both residents of Arjundhara Municipality–6. According to police, a team from the Area Police Office, Anarmani, apprehended them from Tribeni Chowk in Birtamod Municipality–5.
District Police Office Jhapa spokesperson DSP Khagendra Khadka stated that the couple was arrested on suspicion of participating in acts of vandalism and arson on Bhadra 23 and 24 during the Gen Z movement.
They are currently being held at the Area Police Office, Anarmani, for further investigation, police confirmed.
