Kathmandu—Police have arrested 23-year-old Shivraj Dhamala from Balaju for possessing three firearms, including an INSAS rifle, allegedly looted during the Gen Z protest on Bhadra 24.

According to SP Kaji Kumar Acharya from the Valley Crime Investigation Office, Dhamala, who works as a Pathao rider, was found in possession of an INSAS rifle, a shotgun, and a pistol during a raid at his rented room.
Preliminary police investigations suggest the seized weapons were looted from security personnel amid the violent Gen Z protest in Kathmandu. Authorities said further investigation is underway.
