During the event, several media outlets raised questions about the marks, leading Raut to address the matter on Facebook Wednesday night.

She wrote, “Many headlines today have presented the marks on my hand in a misleading way. These marks are 10–15 years old, and the photos showing them are still on my profile.”

Raut expressed disappointment over the media and public attention being focused on her personal life rather than her professional work. She said she often feels hesitant to speak publicly because her statements are frequently taken out of context.

“I fear that even the simplest words can be misinterpreted and linked to my personal life. That’s why I’ve started thinking a hundred times before I speak,” she added.

The actress also mentioned that she chose not to answer personal questions during the Harsha trailer launch, saying that “sometimes, silence is the best response.”

Concluding her post, Raut reminded everyone that an artist’s identity lies in their work, effort, and creativity, not in personal assumptions. Amid ongoing media speculation about her married life, Raut made it clear that she wants to focus fully on her acting career.
